We want to tell you our story of how we got started in the pet service industry.

Our journey began in 2011 when we started breeding mini poodles. We were really successful with this and then wanted to do more. We wanted to offer local grooming services to our community at affordable prices. Heather (Co-Owner) went off to the grooming academy and completed her pet grooming education. She became a certified professional pet groomer.

In 2013 we began grooming from our home in Sherrills Ford, NC. We continued building our clientele and were able to buy a larger home in Iron Station, NC.

In 2014 we moved into our new home in Iron Station, NC. We continued to grow our business and we just kept getting busier and busier so we took the leap of faith to open our very first store front grooming salon and went public.

In 2016 we opened our very first storefront grooming salon beside the subway in Lincolnton, NC. Southern Belle Pet Grooming was born. We went public with our business. We moved into the very small space and created a space for grooming. We continued to grow over the next few years where we could not operate our salon out of a small space anymore. We started looking at larger options to help us keep the business growing and moving in the right direction.

In 2018, we finally found a larger space for us to operate the business better. We moved across the street to a space beside Club Fitness in Lincolnton, NC. We now had room for our expanded grooming staff and started offering pet retail items such as leashes, collars, and much more. Over the next few years we kept striving for our goals and kept pushing forward. Then Covid hit in 2020. It took a huge toll on our business and we wondered if we would recover from the loss we took. Thanks to our loyal customers, loyal staff, and God. We made it through and better than ever. We got an opportunity thrown our way to relocate to a new, larger space. We sat on this decision for some time and then finally decided to proceed with the change and make the business even better.

Also in 2018 we started our kennel business, “Southern Divine Kennels”. We breed AKC Standard Poodles & Goldendoodles. We have been very successful with and producing very high quality heath tested pets. We love to provide a loving family with a new pet. To see the joy a pet brings to someone's life it tugs at your heart strings.

In December 2021, we made the decision to rebrand and relocate our business. We wanted to join our two businesses into one to make it more manageable from a business operating standpoint. We also wanted a space we could grow into and eventually keep building and adding new services in the future. We found the location at 119 Dave Warlick Drive in Lincolnton, NC. This space could give us just that. We started the designing and setup process for the new salon. We opened Feb 1st, 2022, and were super excited. We now have a large pet retail area with new goodies, a large check-in/out area, large grooming area, upgraded bathing area, large drying room, large room for pets ready to go home, larger breakroom for our staff to enjoy their lunch/breaks, a larger storage area for supplies/retail, and a large quiet room where we can groom pets that need special care and a quiet space. We look forward to what the future holds for us at “Southern Divine Kennels.

This would not at all be possible if it was not for the loyalty of our customers, our staff, our management/investors, and God’s Grace! We are truly blessed and wanted to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

Thank You!
